You should have both dentures completely polished to a thickness of 2-3mm. If there are areas that you reasonably might have to adjust such as a torus then the thickness should be in the 3mm range. The posterior border of the maxillary denture should have been cut back to the posterior vibrating line.
The maxillary denture has to be mounted in the facebow position. Place the polished maxillary denture with its mounting model into the facebow index you previously made. Put the incisal guide pin on zero and mount the maxillary denture.
A mounting model for the mandibular also has to be made. You need two mounting models to mount the dentures.
Keep your dentures in a moist environment. Place a wet paper towel in a headrest cover with the dentures.
