A mounting model is used to remount the dentures. (You will need one for the maxillary and one for the mandibular.) The model has to be stable on the denture but it also has to be removable. Block out the undercuts in the denture with wax, clay, wet pumice etc. Pour a plaster model covering the denture borders.
