If the patient tells you something particularly tragic about themselves or their family, make sure to tell your instructor. For example if the wife recently died, or if there was a suicide in the family.

If your female patient is wearing a hat because of the loss of hair or scalp surgery tell the instructor. Even a casual remark about the hat could be painful to the patient.

Any other personal problems that will affect the patient, let the instructor know.
